John Donald Imus Jr. (/ ˈ aɪ m ə s / EYE-məs; July 23, 1940 – December 27, 2019), also known as Imus, was an American radio personality, television show host, recording artist, and author. His radio show Imus in the Morning was aired on various stations and digital platforms nationwide until 2018.
The Imus Ranch was a working cattle ranch of nearly 4,000 acres (1,600 ha) located in Ribera, New Mexico, 50 miles (80 km) southeast of Santa Fe. [1] Between 1998–2014, it was the site of a non-profit charitable program for seriously ill children, founded by long-time radio personality Don Imus and his wife, Deirdre .
In 1998, Don Imus and Deirdre founded the Imus Cattle Ranch for Kids with Cancer, a working cattle ranch near Ribera, New Mexico, 50 miles southeast of Santa Fe. The Ranch was a charitable organization for children with cancer, as well as siblings of SIDS victims. Deirdre Imus graduated from Villanova University and is Roman Catholic.
