Camp Mason's CIT program is a four-week co-ed residential experience. The teens learn many skills and work in all aspects of a counselors job at camp. The first two weeks consist of leadership training and activities run by the CIT counselors, the second two weeks place the CITs in cabins with junior campers with another actual counselor.
The program is open to all public, private, and parochial schools in New Jersey, and to all home-schooled students who live in New Jersey. Since its inception in 1983, the program has served over 11,000 students. Typically 400-500 students per program apply, and approximately 85-100 students are accepted into each program each year.
Young Life also operates two "discipleship focus" camps, a ten week long work/study program for college students. [14] The largest of Young Life camp is the Washington Family Ranch (and accompanying Big Muddy Ranch Airport) in Antelope, Oregon.
