Denver Health (hospital) was established in 1860 as City Hospital. The hospital was founded near 11th and Wazee, but in 1873, a new medical center was built at the corner of 6th Avenue and Cherokee; this is where Denver Health Main Campus is located to this day.
The previous location of St. Anthony Central Hospital located in Denver. Starting as a dream of the Sisters of St. Francis, the hospital was opened in 1892. [3] and dedicated on June 13, 1893. [4] In 2011, the hospital was moved to a new campus and renamed to St. Anthony Hospital in the process.
