Moo Deng (Thai: หมูเด้ง, RTGS: mu deng, pronounced [mǔː dêŋ] ⓘ; born 10 July 2024) is a pygmy hippopotamus living in Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] She became a popular internet meme at two months of age after images of her went viral online in September 2024.
It featured collaborations with Damian Marley, B.o.B and CeeLo Green, and the songs included on the EP, "Somewhere in Brooklyn", "The Other Side", "Count On Me" and "Talking to the Moon". Mars's love for doo-wop music inspired the album which is primarily a pop, reggae pop and R&B record.
An adult pygmy hippo can live up to 50 years and can grow to about half the height of a full-sized hippo. In the wild, their diet mainly consists of grass, leaves, shoots, and fallen fruits.
