The Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the state of Kerala, India. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams which are considered the sacred abodes of Vishnu in the Sri Vaishnava tradition.

The Padmanabhaswamy temple treasure is a collection of valuable objects including gold thrones, crowns, coins, statues and ornaments, diamonds and other precious stones. It was discovered in some of the subterranean vaults of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, in the Indian state of Kerala, when five of its six (or possibly eight) vaults were opened on 27 June 2011.
The main deities represented in the temple include Shiva as Ramanathaswamy (the deity of the Rameswaram Temple) and Vishnu as Ananthapadmanabha (the deity of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple). Along with them, there are shrines for Parvathi, Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Durga, Rama, Krishna, Ganapathi, Subrahmanya, Andal, Hanuman and Navagrahas.

King Adithya Vikrama of Vanchi (Venad) was directed by Parasurama to protect the Temple. Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple became the Kula Daivam (Tutelary Deity) of the Royal Family of Venad. According to historians, a six-member Sabha was constituted to run the Temple in 225 ME. This Sabha was later known as Thiruvaananthapurathu Sabha.
