One bomber crashed in the adjoining farm fields of Frank Hromadka Sr. and Anna Matejka, 2 miles N and ½ mile E of Milligan, Nebraska. Confused by auto headlights, the fighter hit a tree while attacking the airfield at RAF Elvington and crashed at Sutton upon Derwent, Yorkshire; all four crew members were killed. Two other Ju 88s crashed in separate incidents at 1:37 and 1:45 am.
