Aerolitoral, S.A. de C.V., DBA Aeroméxico Connect, and formerly known as Aerolitoral, is the subsidiary airline of Aeroméxico operating Embraer 190 aircraft, with crew bases in Mexico City and Monterrey. It is headquartered in Monterrey. [3] It operates feeder services to Aeroméxico's hub airports, using four-digit flight numbers.
Between 2000 and 2005, Aeroméxico had an average fleet of 60 aircraft in mainline operation, plus 20 in Aerolitoral, as well as five CEOs during this time. On 22 June 2000, the airline, along with Air France, Delta, and Korean Air, founded the SkyTeam global airline alliance. After 9/11 and the Iraq War, it pursued a fleet renovation program.
Aeromexico's regional airline, Aerolitoral was already operating flights between San Antonio, TX and Monterry, Mexico. The market was not large enough to sustain the additional capacity offered by Conquest Airlines. Jones later went on in 1994 to manage the international operations for Aerolitoral (today known as Aeromexico Connect).
Air Littoral was founded in April 1972 and originally based at Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport in Montpellier.It started operations on 23 May 1972 with a Nice-Montpellier-Perpignan service. [1]

During the 1990s and 2000s, Aerolitoral, now known as Aeroméxico Connect, operated a hub out of Hermosillo for many years. This hub connected cities across Mexico and also offered flights to U.S. cities such as Los Angeles and Phoenix. However, it was eventually downsized to a focus city and ultimately closed in 2017.

McAllen was served by Aeromexico partner Aerolitoral via a codesharing agreement during the mid-1990s. In 1994 Aerolitoral was flying up to four non-stops a day to Monterrey with Fairchild Swearingen Metroliners continuing direct to Chihuahua, Leon, San Luis Potosi, Tampico or Villahermosa. [37]
