Gerry Murphy (born 1968 or 1969) [1] is an Irish meteorologist with Met Éireann, best known for his appearances on RTÉ. [2]After graduating with a degree in Experimental Physics from University College Dublin in 1990, [3] Murphy joined Met Éireann in 1992. [2]
Traditionally three separate elements were incorporated within the programme: news, sports results and the weather forecast. The weather forecast was subsequently separated and is now broadcast directly after the programme. [1] There is usually no sports mentioned unless a major event is occurring. [2]
Gerald Fleming (born 20 November 1957) is an Irish former meteorologist and weather presenter. He joined Met Éireann in 1980 and worked as co-ordinator of the RTÉ Television weather team. He served as Head of Forecasting in Met Éireann until his retirement in December 2017.

Cusack joined the Irish meteorological service Met Éireann in 1981. She was a weather presenter on RTÉ from 1988 until 2018. In 1999, Cusack and other well-known weather presenters such as Gerald Fleming, who were all professional meteorologists, were temporarily let go from their jobs at RTÉ in favour of younger, less qualified presenters.
