[3] Previously before coming to Merced Muñoz served as President of the University of Houston - Downtown. [4] He is the schools first Hispanic chancellor, son of farm workers, and a California native.
The size of the protests at each campus varied with over 4,000 people at UC Berkeley and 20 at UC Merced.
