The main campground offers several waterfront campsites. The other campground is west of the lake and is designed for larger recreational vehicles. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has announced plans to drain the lake in the fall of 2008 in order to repair the dam and to eradicate gizzard shad which are detrimental to the fishery. Jordan Creek is a stream in Clay and Owen counties, in the U.S. state of Indiana. [1] It is a tributary of the Eel River . The stream was named after the Jordan River in West Asia.
The park is home to four hiking trails and serves as a trailhead for the 80-mile (130 km) Knobstone Trail which is the longest hiking trail in Indiana. [2] [5] Trail 1 is a 0.6-mile (0.97 km) "easy trail." It begins near the campground and ends at the old playground.
