Longwell Green is a suburban neighbourhood and electoral ward in South Gloucestershire, England. It is part of the Bristol Built-up Area , 4 miles (6.4 km) east of the city centre of Bristol . Longwell Green takes its name from the medieval well which used to be situated on the site of the Church.

The current incarnation of the club was formed from a merger between Oldland and Longwell Green Abbotonians in 1998. [3] Oldland had played in the Gloucestershire County League on-and-off since 1974. [4] Meanwhile, Longwell Green Abbotonians had been playing in the Somerset Senior League since 1985, winning Division One in 1993–94. [5]
