The Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long (Vietnamese: Hoàng thành Thăng Long; chữ Hán: 皇城 昇龍) is a complex of historic buildings associated with the history of Vietnam located in the centre of Hanoi, Vietnam. Its construction began in 1010 and was completed in early 1011 under the reign of Emperor Lý Thái Tổ of the Lý dynasty.
The school was established in 1989 as a normal school under the moniker Dong Thap Pedagogical College (Vietnamese: Trường Cao đẳng Sư phạm Đồng Tháp).On January 10, 2003, officials released a decree that upgraded the school's official status from vocational college to a university. [1]
It was formed in 1959 from Tân Uyên, Biên Hòa and part of Phước Long province, Long Khánh, Bình Dương province. Province capital was Phước Vĩnh. In 1965 Phú Giáo District of the Phước Thành was dissolved into Bình Dương Province. On July 6, 1965, rest of the province was dissolved.
