    www.enworld.org/threads/wood-elf-monk.674681

Sep 9, 2020. #6. Haldrik said: The Wood Elf Monk works well mechanically. But the flavor of an Elf in a traditional Kung Fu fighting stance, rubs some players the wrong way. And yet, Wuxia in the sense of an inherently magical Elf gliding thru trees, does feel wood-elven. What do we need to do, to make the Monk class feel more elven? When I ...

  6. D&D 5E Can a wood elf hide in dim light? - EN World

    www.enworld.org/threads/can-a-wood-elf-hide-in-dim-light.448881

If you are ruling that Dim Light in of itself is considered "natural phenomenon" for the purposes of the Wood Elf's Mask of the Wild... then yes, a Wood Elf should be able to hide from a creature with darkvision, regardless of where the Wood Elf is standing. Theoretically, by your ruling the Wood Elf could be right in front of the person with ...

  7. D&D 5E I need a background for my ranger type wood elf - EN World

    www.enworld.org/threads/i-need-a-background-for-my-ranger-type-wood-elf.671108

The Background can either add synergy to your character or fill in the gaps, skill wise. Backstory, I like to leave vague and fill in the gaps as the campaign progresses. That leaves you room to role play and the DM room to improvise. For example, you find and free some wood elf prisoners of fire giants.

  8. D&D 5E Wood Elf Monks - EN World

    1. halfling (the monk's mobility makes up for the detriment there, and the lucky trait is just downright awesome. I can't tell you how many times that's made a difference) 2. human (my own monk is human, because you get that feat. I selected magic initiate with a hex spell. Hex + flurry of blows is downright dangerous.)

  9. D&D 5E Need help for wood elf society - EN World

    www.enworld.org/threads/need-help-for-wood-elf-society.445701

Hero. Apr 28, 2015. #4. Look up the Sylvari from GW2, or the Night Elves from WoW. Take a look at those cities. Where the high elves are more like fey lordlings with their illusion magics and enchantments, proud and haughty above the more pedestrian races, wood elves are the more down-to-earth nature-oriented elves that cultivate plants and trees.
