Poul Kjærholm (1929–1980) was a Danish designer. Born in Østervrå, Denmark, Kjærholm began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with Gronbech in 1948, attending the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen in 1952. [1] In 1953, he married Hanne Kjærholm who became a successful architect. [2]
Grete Juel Jalk (18 June 1920 – 14 January 2006) was a Danish furniture designer. [1] From the 1960s, she did much to enhance Denmark's reputation for modern furniture design with her clear, comfortable lines. She also edited the Danish magazine Mobilia and compiled a four-volume work on Danish furniture.
Verner Panton (13 February 1926 – 5 September 1998) is considered one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers.During his career, he created innovative and futuristic designs in a variety of materials, especially plastics, and in vibrant and exotic colors.
He was born in Aalborg, Denmark. After training at the Aalborg Technical School (1924) and at the Art and Crafts School of the Design Museum in Copenhagen (1928), Mølgaard-Nielsen studied furniture design under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (1931–1934).
