The college was established in 1974 by Diarmuid Hegarty and incorporated in 1978 as the Business and Accounting Training (BAT).Originally located on Morehampton Road, in 1991 the Business and Accounting College moved from Milltown Park, Ranelagh, to the Griffith Barracks site and changed its name to Griffith College Dublin.
The college runs a number of full-time courses in Business validated by HETAC as well as full and part-time Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) and Business And Technology Education Council (BTEC) courses in Marketing, Human Resources Management, Travel and Tourism, Sports Management, and Office Administration.
The college is only engaged in further education and has no second level courses or classes. Awards are provided at QQI Level 5 and 6 as well as BTEC HND. [2] [3] Some part-time childcare courses are also offered at QQI level 4 and 5.
