As a part of her Imagine Peace billboard project, [1] it was installed in the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden on April 2, 2007, [2] during the 2007 National Cherry Blossom Festival, as one of ten in the city [3] and is part of the museum's permanent collection.
The original Antipodes is a 6-foot high version of the Hirshhorn sculpture that was created in 1992 which was purchased by art collectors Gilbert and Ann Kinney. The small piece was displayed on the terrace of the Kinney home and upon moving the couple donated the piece to the Hirshhorn.
