The 2024 Liga 1 de Fútbol Profesional (known as the Liga 1 Te Apuesto 2024 [1] for sponsorship reasons) was the 108th season of the Peruvian Primera División, the highest division of Peruvian football.
Luis Guzmán was born in Lima, Peru, on 2 September 1918, and he began his football career in his hometown club Alianza Lima in 1934, aged 16. [1] Nicknamed "Caricho" Guzmán, he had been called upon to succeed Alejandro Villanueva, idol of Alianza Lima, but was unable to make a place for himself in this club. [4]

Guerrero was born in Lima, starting his football career in the youth teams of Alianza Lima. In 2003, he signed a contract with Bavarian giants Bayern Munich . During the 2003–04 season, Guerrero played in the Regionalliga Süd where he scored 21 goals in 23 games.
In 2002, he joined Alianza Lima. Later in the 2002 season he made his Peruvian Primera División debut for Club Alianza Lima , which was his only appearance that year. He eventually established himself as an important player for Alianza and together with a young Jefferson Farfán went on to claim the 2003 Peruvian Primera División League title.
