Shinobi Legions is a 2-D side-scrolling hack and slash platform game in which the player controls Sho, the ninja protagonist of the game. The game has largely similar gameplay to previous games in the Shinobi series - The Revenge of Shinobi (1989) and Shinobi III: Return Of The Ninja Master - but also introduces new elements.
Nightshade, released in Japan as Kunoichi (くのいち, lit. "female ninja") and stylized in all regions with the kanji 忍 behind the title, is an action video game for the PlayStation 2 (PS2), developed by Overworks [3] and published by Sega in 2003.
It contains original voice acting and era-specific weapons, and was created by Maverick Developments and released as a free mod. For some time it was bundled with the retail version of Counter-Strike, along with another mod by Maverick Developments, Absolute Redemption which was a chapter set between Half-Life and Half-Life 2.
