The Guelph Gryphons men's ice hockey team is an active ice hockey program representing the Guelph Gryphons athletic department of the University of Guelph.The team has been active since the formation of the college in 1964 and is currently a member of the Ontario University Athletics conference under the authority of U Sports.
The Guelph Gryphons have been working towards a National Gold medal for the past four years earning Bronze at the CIS championships between 2007 and 2010. Finally finishing their 2011–2012 season with Gold, they returned from the national University 7's tournament in BC receiving their second Gold for the 2011–2012 season.

April 9: The Guelph Gryphon women's ice hockey team confirmed the addition of Mississauga native Jenna Lanzarotta. The forward participated with the Mississauga Jr. Chiefs in 2008-09. She amassed 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) in 33 games played while helping her team to a 2008-09 provincial gold medal.

The 2019 U Sports Women's Ice Hockey Championship was held March 14–17, 2019, in Charlottetown, P.E.I., to determine a national champion for the 2018–19 U Sports women's ice hockey season. The Guelph Gryphons defeated the McGill Martlets by a 1–0 score in the championship game, as Valerie Lamenta earned the shutout. [ 1 ]
