Soundwave is produced by the 501(c)3 non-profit Mediate Art Group. The festival features diverse local and international multimedia artists working with sound including noise artists, sound artists, improvisers, experimental musicians, composers, avant-garde musicians, vocalists, electroacoustic musicians, classical musicians and rock musicians.

Renegade Soundwave (sometimes shortened to RSW) were an electronic music group. Formed in London in 1986, the group originally consisted of Gary Asquith , Carl Bonnie and Danny Briottet. [ 1 ] Their debut LP Soundclash was released in 1990 on Mute Records .
Ceres are an Australian rock band, formed in 2012 in Melbourne, [1] Australia and signed by record label Cooking Vinyl Australia. The band released their debut studio album, I Don't Want To Be Anywhere But Here in 2014 and released a further two studio albums prior to their 2020 split. The band reunited in 2024.
