Flagler County is a county located in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census , the population was 115,378. [ 1 ] Its county seat is Bunnell , and the largest city is Palm Coast .
State Road 100 (SR 100) is a 153-mile-long (246 km) east–west highway serving northeast Florida.Its western terminus is at the Georgia-Florida border four miles (6.4 km) north of Avoca, Florida (its continuation in Georgia is State Route 11); its eastern terminus is an intersection with Shore Scenic Highway in Flagler Beach.
The airport was built in the early 1930s on the narrow barrier island almost directly on the Atlantic coast. It consisted of two marl runways, 3,200' northwest/southeast and 3,000' north/south. There may have been a small hangar and a building located directly next to the beach with a parking ramp.
