Use {{Italic title}} to italicize the part of the title before the first parenthesis. Use {{Italic disambiguation}} to italicize the part of the title in the parenthesis. Use the {{DISPLAYTITLE:}} magic word or {{Italic title|string=}} template for titles with a mix of italic and roman text, as at List of Sex and the City episodes and The Hustler.

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that when you add the title of a book, film, album, magazine, or TV series to an article, it should be italicized by adding two single apostrophes ('') on both sides. Titles of television episodes, short stories and songs should be placed within quotation marks.
Bold text is stylistically offset from other text without conveying extra importance. The most common use of boldface is to highlight the article title, and often synonyms, in the lead section. Do not use bold text for emphasis. Use ''' to open and close bold text.
This guideline is silent on the topic of whether book series (like The Chronicles of Amber) and video game series (like Dance Dance Revolution) titles should be italicized, like individual books and video games. Predominant practice seems to be to italicize both, but I haven't done an exhaustive survey, especially with regard to book series.
I feel that serials are like music albums or books, in that they are complete items that should be italicized. This, regardless of their being a subset of a larger series. Italics may be used for the names of books, movies, albums, and computer or video game titles. If the first mention of the subject of an article is also a book or movie title, then bold italic is used.
