Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (IATA: ANC, ICAO: PANC, FAA LID: ANC) [4] is a major airport in the U.S. state of Alaska, located 5 miles (8 km) southwest of downtown Anchorage. [1] The airport is named for Ted Stevens , who served as a senator of Alaska from 1968 to 2009.
It operates services within Alaska and to Canada and the continental United States. Its main base is Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, with a hub at Fairbanks International Airport. Ryan Air Services was known as Arctic Transportation Services from about 1996 to 2010. It also operates scheduled passenger service out of Aniak.
