Founded by Kent Taylor and Stephanie Weins in 1994, it claims to be Nashville's oldest craft brewery. [1] [2] The original brewpub, called Blackstone Restaurant and Brewery, opened on New Year's Eve 1994 and operated until 2016. [3] [4] In 2011, the company built a production brewery nearby [5] [6] and opened a tap house for the public in 2016. [7]

From 1994 to 1998, there were two locations. Frank Varallo Jr. took over from his father in 1929, and a second Varallo's was opened by his two grandsons, Todd and Tony Varallo, near the entrance to the Nashville Arcade on Fourth Avenue. Frank Varallo Jr. closed his Church Street location upon his retirement in 1998, at the age of 85.

Palmer Plaza is a 269-foot 18-story office skyscraper in Nashville, Tennessee. It is named after the company who built it and is headquartered there, Alex S. Palmer & Company.
