Naveen Patnaik (Odia: [n̪ɔbin̪ pɔʈn̪ajk]; born 16 October 1946) is an Indian politician and writer, who served as the 14th Chief Minister of Odisha from 5 March 2000 to 12 June 2024.
The government was formed as a result of BJP securing 78 seats of 147 in 2024 Odisha Legislative Assembly election which was held in four phases during May and June in the state. The results were declared on 4 June and this led to formation of 17th Odisha Assembly. [2] This government is also supported by 3 independents.
