Hi Clivebaker1, I dont believe you can fully hide the task bar however it can 'auto-hide' to hide the task bar, right click on the task bar and select task bar properties,

If you do not have a Desktop icon for a program you want, find it in All Programs and Right Click | Send To | desktop (create shortcut) and then just drag the icon from the Desktop to the toolbar.
It could be in autohide mode, bump your mouse cursor at buttom of the screen, does it appear? If it does, right click on an empty space of the taskbar, click Properties, on the taskbar tab, uncheck Autohide.

When in fullscreen mode in an app, the task bar pops up when the mouse is at the bottom of the screen. This makes playing games very challenging as I cannot use the bottom of the screen when the taskbar is up. How do I make it so the taskbar never shows in fullscreen? This problem started a few days ago and is infuriating.
I tried to check my Windows 11 as well and put it on auto hide and it works fine even on half screen it will not hide the other half of the taskbar. Open Task Manager Locate Windows Explorer Right-click on it Click on Restart. Also, click in start menu. Type: Powershell. Right click on the result and run as administrator.
