"Stay Another Day" is a song recorded by British boy band East 17, released on 21 November 1994 by London Records as the third single from their second album, Steam (1994). It is their only number-one song on the UK Singles Chart , becoming the Christmas number one of 1994.
On 28 February the track "T.O.T.P." was released with an accompanying music video which pays comedic homage to the BBC show Top of the Pops. [ 7 ] On 6 March 2020 the album was released and entered the overall Official Albums Chart at No.29, the UK Sales Chart at No.6, the UK Vinyl Chart at No.5 and the Independent Chart at No.3. [ 8 ]
In 1994, upon the release of their second album, Steam, East 17 scored their only UK number-one single with "Stay Another Day". Their next album, Up All Night, was released in 1995. In 1996, the group hit No. 2 with the track "If You Ever", a duet with Gabrielle. They split up in 1997. [citation needed]
On 12 May 2008 the music video premiered on the music channel The Box. The music video for the song has an appearance from Thara, who worked with Jay on Murder and has done several shows with him. The video for the Boy Better Know remix features the members Frisco, Skepta, Chipmunk and Jammer. The video also features MC Zani.

The song was written by guitarist John Petrucci. He wrote it about his father, John Petrucci Sr. who was diagnosed with cancer. Petrucci Sr. would be the subject of another Dream Theater song, "Take Away My Pain" following his death. The video for Another Day follows the song's lyrics, with a father and son spending time together.
