The West Bengal University of Health Science is an affiliating university and has jurisdiction over all the medical, AYUSH, paramedical & allied health sciences, dental, nursing & pharmacy colleges of the entire state of West Bengal.Though some private med schools running under private university affiliation still it has 124 affiliated institutions under its umbrella as of now.
The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), Ministry of Ayush. [3] [4] It offers B.H.M.S. (Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) and M.D. (Homoeopathy) courses. [5]

KPC Medical College and Hospital was the first private-public-partnership (PPP) model medical college of West Bengal. Now it is completely Private Medical College not under PPP Model run by KPC Group. It was founded by Dr. Kali Pradip Chaudhuri, in the premises of Dr. K. S. Ray TB Hospital., founded by Dr. K. P. Chaudhuri himself. [2] [3]
The college and hospital are administered by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The college was established in 2009 and first registered with the Medical Council of India in 2010. [4] The first batch of 100 students entered in August 2010. In 2013, Gandhi Memorial Hospital was added as second campus to this institute. [5]
Nursing and para-medical courses (under State Medical Faculty of West Bengal) are also offered. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognised by the National Medical Commission. [1] The MJN hospital associated with the college is one of the largest hospitals in the Coochbehar.
The college was taken over by the Government of West Bengal in 1961 with an initial student strength of 25, recognised by the Medical Council of India (now National Medical Commission).
