The University of Strathclyde Faculty of Engineering is the engineering school at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. The faculty offers over 40 undergraduate and postgraduate courses which are taught in one of the eight departments. These range from BEng, MEng and MSc courses to doctorates throughout the faculty. The two colleges at Aberdeen were considered too small to be viable and they were restructured as the University of Aberdeen in 1860. Marischal College was rebuilt in the Gothic style from 1900. The Royal College of Science and Technology was a higher education college that existed in Glasgow, Scotland between 1887 and 1964. Tracing its history back to the Andersonian Institute (founded in 1796), it is the direct predecessor institution of the University of Strathclyde (along with the Scottish College of Commerce).
