Seria [a] or officially known as Seria Town (Malay: Pekan Seria), is a town in Belait District, Brunei. It is located about 65 kilometres (40 mi) west from the country's capital Bandar Seri Begawan. [4] The total population was 3,625 in 2016.
Mukim Seria is a mukim in Belait District, Brunei. It has an area of 169 square kilometres (65 sq mi); [ citation needed ] the population was 21,214 in 2016. [ 3 ] The mukim encompasses Seria , one of the only two towns in the district.

Mukims of Brunei. A mukim is a second-level administrative division of Brunei Darussalam, and the primary sub-division of a larger district (daerah). There are thirty-nine mukims within the four districts of the sultanate Brunei Darussalam. A mukim is led by a penghulu, since 2015 elected by democratic vote.
There are four districts in Brunei Darussalam , namely: Brunei-Muara, Belait, Tutong, and Temburong. Brunei-Muara is the smallest district by area, but has the largest population. [1] Belait is the largest district by area, and the centre for the production of oil and gas. [2]
Most of Brunei's college students attend universities and other institutions abroad, but approximately 2,542 study at the University of Brunei Darussalam. Opened in 1985, the university has a faculty of over 300 instructors and is located on a sprawling campus at Tungku , overlooking the South China Sea .
The Berry Bridge was built around 1940. It is located on the main road between Seria and Kuala Belait, near the entrance to Panaga 2000 Housing, with a length of 100 feet and a width of 30 feet. This bridge is the oldest in Belait District, built by BSP, and is still in use today. [18]
