Paltinis Resort Păltiniş ( German : Hohe Rinne ; Hungarian : Szebenjuharos ) is a mountain resort in Transylvania , Romania , 35 km south-west from Sibiu in the Cindrel Mountains . It is situated at 1440 m altitude, being the highest resort in Romania .
The Agnita railway line was a 760 mm (2 ft 5 + 15 ⁄ 16 in) Bosnian gauge rail line in Sibiu County, Romania. Originally it ran from Sibiu railway station to Sighișoara [2] in Mureș County. There also was a branch line to Vurpăr. However the final section from Sibiu to Agnita was closed in 2001.

It starts near the village of Bascov, near Pitești, and stretches 90 kilometres (56 mi) to the crossroad between the DN1 and Sibiu, between the highest peaks in the country, Moldoveanu and Negoiu. The road, built in the early 1970s as a strategic military route, connects the historic regions of Transylvania and Wallachia .
