Amrut is a brand of Indian single malt whisky, manufactured by Amrut Distilleries. It is the first single malt whisky to be made in India. [ 1 ] Amrut (अमृत) or amrit is a Sanskrit word which can be translated as "nectar of the gods", [ 2 ] [ 3 ] "nectar of life", [ 4 ] or "drink of the gods". [ 5 ]
It is best known for its eponymous Amrut brand of single malt whisky, which is the first single malt whisky to be made in India. Al Habtoor City (Arabic: الحبتور سيتي) is a multi-use development in Business Bay, Dubai, consisting of three hotels (rebranded in September 2024 to Al Habtoor Palace, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, V Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City) [1] [2] [3] and three high-rise residential towers commissioned by the Al Habtoor Group in 2012.
