Lakeside Village is an open-air shopping mall located on the southern side of Lakeland, Florida, in the United States.Located off the Polk Parkway at Harden Boulevard, it is classified as a "regional mall" by the International Council of Shopping Centers, [1] and it draws shoppers from much of the Lakeland metropolitan area.
In 2022, Burlington closed its doors and relocated across the street to the Shoppes of Lakeland shopping center. Flacks Group is turning the closed Sears store at the mall into a 320-unit luxury apartment complex, set to open in 2025. The development offers one to three-bedroom units with rents ranging from $1,450 to $1,900.
The mall opened as Citrus Park Town Center on March 3, 1999. Westfield Group acquired the shopping center in May 2002, and renamed it Westfield Shoppingtown Citrus Park, and then Westfield Citrus Park in June 2005. On May 31, 2018, it was announced that Sears would close as part of a plan to close 63 stores nationwide.
