The Sri Ranganayaka Swamy temple is a Vijayanagara era temple built by Krishnadeva Raya, but damaged during the Deccan Sultanate era campaigns. The temple was rebuilt in the 18th-century, and is a part of the five temples within the Sri Krishnadevaraya Group of Temples. It is a Vaishnava temple themed around the sleeping Vishnu legends.
