Bilko gets Doberman a spot on a local amateur hour TV show. Bilko learns from Doberman that he only sings well when he has a cold. His cold is gone and his singing voice is horrible. Bilko figures they'll just make a record whenever Doberman gets a cold. Bilko goes to Record Producer Buckley who agrees to make a recording of Doberman.

Sgt. Bilko is a 1996 American military comedy film directed by Jonathan Lynn and written by Andy Breckman.It is an adaptation of the 1950s television series The Phil Silvers Show, often informally called Sgt. Bilko, or simply Bilko, and stars Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd, Phil Hartman and Glenne Headly.
In December 1958 they appeared and performed as themselves in Season 4, Episode 11 of The Phil Silvers Show, "Bilko Presents the McGuire Sisters". The McGuire Sisters and the Andrews Sisters met several times during their careers.
