From Genesis to Revelation is the debut studio album by English rock band Genesis, released on 28 March 1969 on Decca Records.The album originated from a collection of demos recorded in 1967 while the members of Genesis were pupils of Charterhouse in Godalming, Surrey.
The collection is mostly sequenced in reverse chronological order except for the most recent track, the title track of the Calling All Stations album, being placed at the end of the first disc. The majority of the tracks were newly remixed by studio collaborator Nick Davis .
The album was originally released as a single album on 25 October 1999 by Virgin Records in the UK and on 26 October 1999 by Atlantic Records in the US. In 2007, an expanded two-disc edition, subtitled The Tour Edition , was released to promote the Turn It On Again: The Tour reunion.
