Dave King (born in Dublin) is an Irish singer, musician and songwriter. He is the frontman of the Celtic punk band Flogging Molly , of which he is a founding member. He first gained notability as the original lead singer of hard rock band Fastway in the 1980s.

Dave King (born David Kingshott; 23 June 1929 – 15 April 2002) [1] [2] was an English comedian, actor and vocalist of popular songs. [3] He is remembered for screen roles such as the corrupt policeman 'Parky' in the British gangster film The Long Good Friday (1980) [1] and Clifford Duckworth in the soap opera Coronation Street.
Prior to forming Flogging Molly, Dublin-born Dave King was the lead singer for the heavy metal band Fastway featuring guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke of Motörhead in the early to mid-1980s. He later fronted a hard rock band called Katmandu (1991), featuring Mandy Meyer of Krokus and Asia on guitars.
