The Student Association is funded directly by the undergraduate student body of the University at Albany, State University of New York. The Student Association owns a 1,000-acre (400 ha) wilderness retreat facility in the Adirondack Mountains called Camp Dippikill .

The 1,000-acre private wilderness retreat [47] has belonged to the Student Association of the University at Albany since 1956, and is located in Thurman, New York. Dippikill, since the 1950's, is described as an integral part of the University at Albany educational experience. The original 700 acres were purchased for $10,000 in 1956.
