Miller Outdoor Theatre is an outdoor theater for the performing arts in Houston, Texas. It is located on approximately 7.5 acres (30,000 m 2) of land in Hermann Park, at 6000 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, Texas 77030. It was first known in 1922 as Miller Memorial Theatre, for its benefactor Jesse Wright Miller, a mining engineer and cotton broker.
It is the largest of the five theaters for Texas Performing Arts. [4] Bass Concert Hall routinely attracts top tier performers and full-scale productions such as Broadway Across America. The hall seats 2,900 and has an orchestra pit capable of holding 100 musicians. In 2007, Bass Concert Hall began a $14.7 million dollar renovation and facelift.
Through its network of presenting partners, BAA presents touring Broadway shows, family productions, and other live shows in over 40 North American venues. In 2008, Broadway Across America and its subsidiary Broadway Across Canada sold over 6.4 million tickets throughout its 40 theatres in the United States and Canada. [3]
