The mill store was greatly expanded the same year, incorporating the old frame structure and adding a gymnasium, theater, two community rooms, and other amenities. Fort Chinnabee was a defensive stockade built in 1813 by Chief Chinnabee and other allied Creeks for protection against Red Sticks during the Creek War.
