The parkway passes through a very rural area as it heads north towards Atascocita. In Atascocita, the parkway makes an intersection with FM 1960. At this point the parkway becomes a major road. The original Firehouse 33 was one of the last stations to be housed in an original volunteer fire station. The original Station 33 was the city hall/fire station of Braeswood.
