The World Factbook, also known as the CIA World Factbook, [1] is a reference resource produced by the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) with almanac-style information about the countries of the world. The official print version is available from the Government Publishing Office.
The UN World Bank cites the IMF as the source for their data on Current Account Balance, and so is not included separately on this page. The second list includes only countries for which the CIA World Factbook lists 2015 estimates for both Current Account Balance and GDP.

Most figures (including for the world) are 2019 estimates from the International Monetary Fund. Other figures are estimates from The World Factbook of the Central Intelligence Agency (for GDP [ 1 ] and GDP per capita [ 2 ] ), and are noted beside the figures along with the year of estimate.
The two-letter country codes were used by the US government for geographical data processing in many publications, such as the CIA World Factbook. The standard is also known as DAFIF 0413 ed 7 Amdt. No. 3 (Nov 2003) and as DIA 65-18 ( Defense Intelligence Agency , 1994, "Geopolitical Data Elements and Related Features").
