Seymour Lipschutz. Seymour Saul Lipschutz (born 1931 died March 2018) was an author of technical books on pure mathematics and probability, including a collection of Schaum's Outlines. [1] Lipschutz received his Ph.D. in 1960 from New York University 's Courant Institute . [2] He received his BA and MA degrees in Mathematics at Brooklyn College.

Biography. Ayres earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Washington College, Maryland and his master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Chicago. He taught during 1921–4 at Ogden College and another four years at Texas A&M before coming to Dickinson College in 1928. He was promoted to associate professor in June, 1935.
