Castle Hills Secondary Modern school opened on Tuesday 6 January 1958 for 276 children, but had capacity for 480. It had 12 classrooms, and science labs, and a metalwork room. [2] It was an 18 acre site, designed by Myles-White, Vallance and Westwick. It cost £150,000. [3] In November 1957 it was given the name at a Lindsey County Council meeting.
