The Charminar (lit. ' four minarets ') is a monument located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Constructed in 1591, the landmark is a symbol of Hyderabad and officially incorporated in the emblem of Telangana. Charminar in Hyderabad was built by Quli Qutub Shah. Muhammad succeeded his father in the year 1580 at the age of 15. [3] His rule lasted for 31 years.
