The Saint Mary's University Students' Association (SMUSA) is the official representation of the students of Saint Mary's University. The association was incorporated in 1966, however, unofficially has represented students for many years previous. Huskies Stadium is a Canadian football stadium at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, home to the Saint Mary's Huskies. It had a promoted capacity of 9,000 to 11,000 that is achievable via temporary seating, [1] but the actual permanent seating is only 2,000. [2] It was built in 1969 for the 1970 Canada Summer Games.
Saint Mary's University was the host venue for the championship tournament four times: in 1965, 1976, 1977, and 1978. The tournament was hosted in Halifax again for 24 consecutive years, first at Dalhousie University from 1984 to 1987 and then at the Halifax Metro Centre from 1988– 2007 .
