Maine Pyar Kiya (transl. 'I've loved' ), also known by the initialism MPK , is a 1989 Indian Hindi -language romantic musical film directed by Sooraj Barjatya in his directorial debut. Produced by Tarachand Barjatya , the film was co-written by S. M. Ahale, and Sooraj Barjatya, and distributed by Rajshri Productions .
Balasubrahmanyam's first work in Hindi films was, in Ek Duuje Ke Liye (1981), [1] for which he received another National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer. [2] In 1989, Balasubrahmanyam was the playback singer for actor Salman Khan in the blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya. [3]

Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (transl. Why Did I Fall In Love?) is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by David Dhawan.It is a remake of the 1969 American film, Cactus Flower which was an adaptation of the 1965 play of the same name by Abe Burrows, itself based on the French play Fleur de cactus by Pierre Barillet and Jean-Pierre Gredy.
