Coyote Creek (Spanish: Arroyo Coyote) [6] [7] is a river that flows through the Santa Clara Valley in Northern California. Its source is on Mount Sizer, in the mountains east of Morgan Hill. It eventually flows into Anderson Lake in Morgan Hill and then northwards through Coyote Valley to San Jose, where it empties into San Francisco Bay.
The Coyote Creek Trail is a pedestrian and cycling trail along Coyote Creek in San Jose, California, which continues into Coyote Valley and northern Morgan Hill. The Coyote Creek Trail was designated part of the National Recreation Trail system in 2009. [ 1 ]
These trails connect to others in the east bay, and the San Francisco Bay Trail passes through the park. Cross country meets for local schools are held occasionally in the park. The waters to the south and west of the park form part of the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge , and a great deal of wildlife can be seen from the park trails.
The Ocean Trails Golf Club was part of a 150-acre (0.61 km 2) property owned by developer Edward Zuckerman and a partner. Prior to the Zuckerman purchase, the property was used as a farm. [10] The golf course is on the Palos Verdes Peninsula known for its landslides. [11]
