Cave of the Winds has been in continuous operation since 1881 – making it one of Colorado’s oldest visitor attractions. Electrical lights were added in 1907, and visitors began traveling to the cave in even greater numbers – first by carriage and railroad, and later by car.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is an adventure park, located above Glenwood Springs, Colorado, about 160 miles (260 km) west of Denver. Only cave tours were available prior to 2003 before the park was expanded. Today, the park features several attractions in addition to the cave tours.
