Opened in 1924, it was named after William Hutchins Hall, who was a teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in West Hartford. [ 1 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] The school colors are blue and white , and the school’s mascot is the Titans, formerly the Warriors, after the Board Of Education voted to change it on February 1, 2022. [ 6 ]
In November 2019 the board of education removed a plan to have the schools start at a later start time. The claim is that later start times for high school students is more beneficial for their mental and physical health. The cost of transportation would exceed $2 million if high school and middle school started at 8:15. [9]

Hall Memorial School offers instruction to students in grades 4–8. Currently, students in grades 4 and 5 are taught in an all-inclusive classroom setting (no class changes). Students in grades 6-8 have a rotating 6 day schedule, and change classes throughout the day. Currently, the following classes are required:
The Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) is a high school athletics conference in Connecticut. The conference comprises schools located along the Long Island Sound in the New Haven area. The SCC is composed of 22 high schools, representing 16 communities, with over 23,000 students.
